An old Chinese proverb goes like this, "Misfortune might be a blessing in disguise". It means that adversity may turn to advantage under certain conditions. Gain and loss transform to each other on a constant basis, just like Yin-Yang (the two opposing principles in nature) described in Chinese philosophy.Frequently, willing to give up leads to opportunity. If we can abandon some of our parochialism, advantages, and intransigence, we are sure to win more opportunities.
