"Xi 'an Impression" series posters originated from a sketch tour in Xi 'an. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, the Shadow Play Museum and the performance of the Qin opera seen at the root of the city wall gave birth to this series of posters. At the early stage of design, I thought that the Terracotta Warriors and Horses could be described as vivid and lifelike, and the faces and other decorations of thousands of pottery figurines were almost identical and different. Moreover, the masks of the Qin opera and shadow play were also unique and varied. This design takes the head of Terracotta Warriors and Horses as the design theme. Qin opera, shadow play and Terracotta Warriors and Horses are combined to complement each other, and together contribute to the present poster. In Xi 'an, ancient and modern art creates colorful splendor, which represents the diversity and unity of art. Although there are various kinds, they are all rooted in Chinese traditional culture. I hope that through this design, we can see different Xi 'an and different China.
