Typographer, graphic designer, critic of design and educator. He received an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) from the Academy of Fine Arts in KrakoĀLw (1998), doctorate (DFA) from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (2006) and Post-Doc – habilitation of Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (2012). He works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice with BA, MA and Ph.D. students as head of Typography Studio and head of the program. In summer semester 2013 he was a visiting proffesor at AFAD in Bratislava. He also gave lectures as a guest professor for Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Masaryk University in Brno. For ten years he was one of the leaders of Summer School of Design in design center Zamek Cieszyn. He was one of the leaders in editorial design and visual identity; his projects received a number of awards (inter alia The Most Beautiful Polish Books of a Year, Silesian Thing). Author of a book „On typography” and articles focusing
on typography and visual communication published in profesional and scientific magazines.
