Studies at the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. Work area of graphics, painting, installation, graphic design and typography.
Since completing his degree he continues work as a graphic design and consultant. Professor of Fine Arts Academy of W. Strzeminski in Lodz, leading the Editorial Graphic Design Studio. The Students and Graduates of the studio under his direction achieved many significant awards and prestigious honorable titles in national and international competitions, as well as achieving career success.
Slawomir Kosmynka participated in many collective and individual exhibitions in the country and abroad.
A series of digital prints inspired by aleatory in music and the unistic and typography theory of Władyslaw Stzeminski was created in the period between 2000 – 2008. Inter alia: Neurofonts, Matrix, Typographica I, III and Extensions I, II, III.
On his account he has projects and graphic realizations of books, editorial series, stencils, digital prints, posters, folders, magazines, newspaper, theatrical and musical editorials. His posters belongs to the collections of: Poster Museum in Wilanow, National Museum in Poznan, The Poster Gallery in Krakow, Krzysztof Dydo’s Poster Collection, BWA in Katowice, Smith Poster Gallery in London, Fort Collins University Texas, USA; Ogaki City Art Museum, Japan; Lahti Poster Museum, Finland; Tokyo Poster Museum, Japan; Stadt Galerie Osnabruck, Germany; OX Gallery, Berlin; Noumen Gallery; Stichting Nederlands Archief Grafisch Ontwerpers (NAGO) – Utrecht; The Archives of The NOWY Theater in Lodz; Archives of the ATENEUM Theater in Warsaw, Harvard University Gallery, as well as private collections.
He lives and works in Lodz.
