Professor Lech Majewski. He specializes in editorial and advertising graphic design but most of all he is connected to the form of poster. One of his posters, designed for 16th International Meeting of Jazz Vocalists was selected as one of 100 most important posters from Europe and United States from 1945–1990 year. He says that even if the poster doesn't change the World, it's important to remember one thing - the poster is excellent record of place, time and event.
His posters are being exhibited all over the world. He is laureate of many international awards.
He designs books in Poland and Germany. Lots of his books win contest for the most beautiful design of the year.
He graduated from Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, master's degree realized in Professor Henryk Tomaszewski's atelier.
He runs his own graphic studio, he teaches at The Department of Graphics Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and he gives lectures at many other international art schools. He is also the President of International Poster Biennale in Warsaw. Lech Majewski is Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of J.E. Purkyne in Usti nad Labem in the Czech Republic and Ladislav Sutnar Prize of the University of West Bohemia.
He composes music and plays guitar.
