Art director, Graphic Designer and Illustrator, Laurent Pinabel has created many visuals in the French and Quebec cultural industry, in companies and as free lance. After completing his studies in France in Fine Arts and Applied Arts (National School of Applied Arts, Olivier de Serres in Paris), he began his career in 1994 as a designer in the music industry.
In 2001, he moved to Montreal. He continued his research and his work around the image (mainly the poster) with the guide as “The biggest favor you can do to a client is not give him exactly what he wants.” Recognizable style approach is also sought for collaborations, testimonies and workshops. Known for creating pictures and strong identities.
His work is often rewarded with national and international graphic design and illustration (Applied Arts, Lux, Communication Arts, Grafika, Alcuin, Coupe, Archive, Altpicks, American Illustrators...).
His posters integrate the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Quebec and are also solicited for various publications in Canada, the United States (ed. Rockport, Archive ...), China (International Design Yearbook / MDX) and Mexico (Mexico City Biennale 2014).
