The graphic design is the main resource for visual communication for that it is in constant dialogue between the designers and the consumers. It has very powerful means of provoking the conscious of the spectator with unconventional and untypical images, associations, expressions, color metaphors, functions, qualities, which are used to flawlessly intrigue audience. Every published idea should be clear and concrete, so it could provoke the right reaction. Good design begins with good ideas, generated in response to given design brief.

In the recent time the graphic design started be associate with commerce and advertising in negative aspect. The fact is the graphic design is powerful tool for communication and can be good ambassador for selfless ideas.

The project "I love to read" using means of expression of graphic design for provoking young people to realize the true value of books and "analog" reading comparing digital devices.

In all posters "I love to read" is using the conventional sign systems as something painfully familiar and stereotyped and transform it into a strongly influential and desired message. The everyday situations are becoming from boring and routine to funny and vivid. It is these messages in accessible form and type that could remain noticed and remembered. They don’t aim to present thorough information about the main idea, but to excite and to involve the audience. These are usually individual and subjective combination of two, three and most rarely more symbols with no or slight associative effect, but related to the books they build up new meaning of the context. This creative approach we could determine as an unconventional way to provoke associative thinking, generates the unconventional thinking of the audience. It changes the stereotype in the graphic design from the shallow slogans such as ‘buy it, because our product is the best’ to the breaking of the pattern and perceiving of the advertisement as a result of creative inspiration.

THE CREATIVE / RESEARCH CHALLENGE

By means of expression of poster art I aim to visualize different aspects of the reading. The symbol of the book is present in all works as a unifying concept. Some of the posters illustrate the thoughts of great people who witness the power of reading.

 

RESEARCH ABSTRACT

Using creative approach could determine as an unconventional way to provoke associative thinking, generates the unconventional thinking of the audience. It changes the stereotype in the graphic design from the shallow slogans such as ‘buy it, because our product is the best’ to the breaking of the pattern and perceiving of the advertisement because of creative inspiration.
