Alejandro Rodríguez Fornés, Havana, 1984. Graduated as a graphic designer by the Higher Institute of Design (ISDi) in 2008, currently works in the communication and image office of Casa de las Américas. Designed for the literary magazines Union and La Jiribilla, the children's publishers Gente Nueva and Abril, the International School of Cinema and Television of San Antonio de los Baños and the Cuban Institute of Art and Film Industry. His posters have been selected at the international biennials of Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador, Turkey, Spain and Russia, and have been part of several collective exhibitions inside and outside Cuba. In 2015 he won first prize in the poster contest convened by the National Council of Plastic Arts and Unicef in Cuba, on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and in 2014 he won the bronze medal in the 13th International Biennial of the Poster of Mexico. He is a member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and of the Cuban Association of Social Communicators.
